...Burns? Ehhhh, more like warms!

In “life before voiceover ” I worked in television. Shows you most likely heard of, but I was entrenched in the behind-the-scenes work doing fun things like, “Get the writers’ lunch order” and then  “research and clearance.”  Cut to: an exec put me behind the mic to record scratch track and get tv segments approved by Networks faster and VOILA, a new career was born!

I moved to LA to work in TV, married a New Yorker and we then moved to Spokane to raise our family. Note – the city is pronounced Spo CAN, like “Can I help you?” or when the flight attendant asks “Would you like the entire can of soda?” (Yes, it’s soda. Not pop. Fight me.)  We are the very proud parents of four young adults, all now of voting age. They are completely capable of preparing their own meals, doing their own laundry, fending for themselves in the world and making their own decisions. It’s very aggravating.

I am that friend who will go grocery shopping and run errands with you to catch up. I’ll drive all around town and shop local. I am always up for going out for coffee or ice cream. Both at the same time? Yup, I’ve got a favorite place for that. Oh, did you want to grab a beer instead? YES, let’s GOOOOOO.

Reading the newspaper is the key to being an engaged community member. Browsing a bookstore is self care.  I do both of these on a regular basis in order to make up for the time I spend in the booth. Allyship with time and resources to library/literary foundations, LGBTQ+ homeless teens, mental health and food insecurity. Gotta have a life to give those voices in your script life!

My voice of reason with a dash of motherly concern warms up regional health care spots. Need to move some metal and sell a car? Trust me, I got a deal for you. Non fiction documentary style for a streaming series – that’s in my wheelhouse, too. From keeping the chefs on Food Network’s Iron Chef Stadium on time to greeting you when you call a Red Lion Inn & Suites, those are my versatile warm and caring tones engaging audiences, and sparking action.

Let me warm up that script for you!
